Survey & Assessment

Survey & Assessment

Before any design begins, the existing conditions must be read with precision. For masonic lodges and ceremonial spaces, this means understanding not only the structural and material state of a building, but its geometric logic — what was intended, what has been altered, and what must be restored to recover the original spatial integrity.

Survey & Assessment work includes: geometric analysis of existing temples and ritual spaces, condition reports for heritage masonic buildings, pre-design feasibility studies, and technical documentation for restoration submissions.

Design & Construction

Design & Construction

Every project produced by this practice is designed from the geometric canon appropriate to its typology. For a masonic temple, this means working within the proportional system established by the tradition the lodge belongs to. For a meditation hall, it means the application of harmonic ratios to plan, section, and acoustic volume. For a funerary chapel, it means the correct handling of orientation, threshold, and light.

We do not separate design from construction oversight. The architect who draws the plan is present on site. This is not a service option — it is a condition of the work.

Masterplan

Masterplan

Certain commissions require thinking beyond a single building: a new lodge complex, a contemplative campus, a ceremonial precinct within a larger institution. Masterplan work at this practice is governed by the same geometric rigour applied to individual buildings — extended across site, sequence, and the relationship between structures.

Masterplan services include: site analysis and orientation studies, geometric layout of multiple structures, phased construction planning, and long-term stewardship frameworks for institutional clients.

Every engagement begins with a conversation. Not a brief — a conversation.
